I undertook this course by chance, but now I can really treasure how much I have learnt into the world of AI, even though it was very basic and preliminary! It's just the beginning of a long journey, but once our spark is ignited by it's flavour and course...
  • Pat Bowden completed this course, spending 3 hours a week on it and found the course difficulty to be easy.

The overall and weekly course objectives were stated clearly, much more clearly than many other courses I have explored.

The course had lots of reading, including extra links to other pages. There were no videos. Each chapter’s material consisted of three pages, but they were long pages full of comprehensive information. It was an excellent introduction to just what AI is and the implications in today's society of the many applications of AI both now and into the future. The assessments were unforgiving, with only one attempt available for most questions. I made basic mistakes in some answers but managed to pass the course quite comfortably.

I found the course surprisingly interesting!
  • It's a fairly basic course. Yet it clears the concepts behind AI & Ml. Glad there are resources like these.
  • CB Baguio completed this course, spending 8 hours a week on it and found the course difficulty to be easy.

This was a good introduction to AI for those of use who are not steeped in the world of computers. Demystifying it and also clarifying key concepts surrounding AI were, in my opinion, accomplished by this course. After taking it, it whetted my appetite for other branches related to this like Machine Learning.
Overall, it's easy to grasp and easy to follow and also easy to finish. I finished it in 3 weeks or less even with normal commitments.

On my quest to understand and explore the world of data-science, I found the course, Elements of AI, in a Medium post about top 20 courses for data-science beginners. I started right away. I found the lessons to be exclusively written for beginners with...

I already had notions about AI since I am studying artificial intelligence. This course allowed me to have a wider field of vision on what AI is.

I think it was an interesting course and something I have been searching for. I already had some pre-knowledge about AI, but this course put it into a better context and made me think critical about certain aspects of AI. One example where I got more...

I wanted to resolve cases from my industry. Handling of issues from my business sector will give me a firm learning of the concepts and utility. Of course, the existing cases in the course are useful to have but you could add a module where I could pose my business case and the course leaders could guide me through the solution. Other than this I found the course was complete for me. Regards,

The course covered the basics with lots of exercises. Many of the exercises were designed to evaluate how well the student understood the concepts, rather than whether the student had just read the material. I particularly liked how the course demystified AI by linking it to past concepts and theories. New ideas are often presented out of context (both in terms of related ideas and how the concepts are used) which makes understanding them and their relevance more difficult.

I look forward to additional courses in the series.

I like the kind of awareness this course provides, helping everyone from different works of life to see how they can relate in the fields of AI. One of the most simple, non-boring, good material content, captivating free online certification course ever. Thought at first I will not have enough time to take the course because of my kind of schedule but when I started, just with my mobile phone, I couldn't let the course down. The most exciting part was wanting to see what your peers think about your review and waiting for your certificate.

This is a great beginner course to artificial intelligence because it offers interesting insights with a critical touch to it. As presented in the course, the topic is yet remarkably vague and most so-called "facts" are nothing but guesses and speculations....

First of all I'd like to say I've been very lucky to read an article about this course I had never heard about before. The Finnish initiative should really be praised and set an example to other EU members. About the course itself it's meant as a basic...

I just finished the course and here are some of my thoughts. As a humanities major and someone who always had a problem with numbers, this course was much harder than I expected -- in a good way though. If you're having a hard time, please take out a...

A great online course, I can fully recommend it to anyone regardless of background or education - a basic level understanding of how AI works should be general knowledge these days. Well-put-together, clear and understandable, yet engaging enough even for my short attention span.

My only complaint is that peer reviewing some of the written answers was awful - just because there was so many inappropriate answers that clicking through them was a pain. A naive bayes classifier would easily differentiate the majority of inappropriate answers from the appropriate ones ;)
